The scariest people are the ones whose behavior you can’t predict. Rage is not impressive. When someone wants to make you angry and you don’t become angry, that is the moment they realize who they are dealing with.

Nothing can make you do anything. Nothing can make you angry, violent, or riot — nothing, unless it controls you. If you are made to do something, you have no agency; slaves have no agency. There are exceptions, of course — but we’re talking about everyday provocations: a slight, something from social media, nothing life-threatening. Emotions are tools, not a control mechanism.

If someone can make you angry, you are under their direct control and influence. No one can make you do anything.
