Understanding ourselves & the law of attraction

Not just spouting positivity — belief, consciousness, and the illusion of separation.

The law of attraction is misunderstood by many. It’s not just spouting positivity — you have to believe. The supporting thoughts are what give rise to manifestation: the thought from which consciousness arises. What you think on a conscious level is a response to your subconscious thought. Go deeper with that: faster and slower can only arise when comparison to an external reference point occurs — which takes you from what is, throws you back into dualistic thinking, and keeps you forever from fully being present.

Dualism isn’t necessarily disharmony — though on its own, as a belief system, yes, it is. Duality is the consciousness of separation: seeing reality in parts, emotionless, logical, linear thinking. And yes, evil is a theme you are dealing with in this temporary life — but your Soul is beyond that notion. The idea that we are separated from this infinite consciousness is the illusion. Everything else is truth; we are simply perceiving it through the eyes of separate consciousness.

“To spin fire, and create the illusion of a circle, does not create a circle.”

— M0
“We are here to awaken from the illusion of our separateness.”
— Thich Nhat Hanh
“When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.”
— Jiddu Krishnamurti
“The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered: “Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.””
— Attributed to the Dalai Lama
“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”
— Carl Jung
